This specimen was lot 36386 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2022), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Holland. Daalder, 1612. PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, AU Details." This type of 1606-93 evolved from the "prince's daalder" (Dav-8841) of the prior century. The type is listed fairly inexpensively in low grade but is very scarce in nice condition. These were generally weakly struck on bad planchets. Holland also struck leeuwendaalders throughout the seventeenth century.
