The first specimen was lot 23265 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), where it sold for $141. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPANISH NETHERLANDS. The second specimen was lot 74695 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPANISH NETHERLANDS. Holland. 1/2 Philipsdaalder, ND (1562-67). Dordrecht Mint. Philip II. NGC EF-45. Despite some circulation and handling, this charming example delivers good details and some cabinet toning throughout." The Philip II depicted here is Philip II of Spain (1556-98), who lost control of Holland in the 1580's when the Protestant inhabitants successfully rebelled against his attempts to reimpose Catholicism.
