Sincona sale 43, lot 2086

This specimen was lot 2086 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Calenberg-Hannover, Herzogtum, Georg IV. 1820-1830 2/3 Taler 1826 B. Vorzüglich-FDC. (Germany, kingdom of Hannover, George IV, 1820-30, two-thirds thaler of 1826. Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"

This type was struck 1826-28 for king George IV, who was also king of England (it is not recorded whether George IV ever set foot in his German domain).

Recorded mintage: unknown.
