This specimen was lot 1123 in Sincona sale 63 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 380 CHF (about US$476 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"GUINEA, Republik, seit 1958. 2000 Francs 1969. Auf 10 Jahre Unabhängigkeit und auf die Mondlandung. Polierte Platte. Im Originalfolder. (republic of Guinea, two thousand francs of 1969, on the tenth anniversary of independence. Choice Proof, In original folder.)"

The second specimen was lot 1686 in Stephen Album sale 41 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2021), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[2] noted, "GUINEA: AV 2000 francs, 1969, commemorating the 10th Anniversary of Independence in 1968, Lunar Landing on the obverse, in the original wallet of issue, Proof." This NCLT was accompanied by a silver 250 francs (KM 12).

Recorded mintage: 15,000 proofs.
