Shown is a 1752 eight reales cob from the Guatemala mint, of a type issued 1734-54. Guatemalan cobs are unusual in that they were struck using pillar dies. Guatemala issues are notably cruder than other mints.

Specification: 27.07 g, 0.931 fine silver, .81 troy oz ASW.
