This eight reales cob-type coin (struck on planchets intended for milled coins) was lot 674 in Cayon Subastas (Madrid, Feb 4, 2012), where it sold for about US$357. The catalog description[1] noted, "Guatemala. 8 reales. 1751. J. Resellado en la República de Centro América en 1839. Agº. MBC. Buen ejemplar para el tipo. (Guatemala 8 reales 1751-J. Countermarked in the Republic of Central America in 1839. Very Fine. Good example of the type)."
