The first specimen was lot 72830 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $493.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Groningen & Ommeland. 12 1/2 Stuivers Klippe, 1672. NGC MS-62. Struck after the fact to commemorate the end of the siege. Well struck, lustrous and possessing faint tone, a choice example." The second specimen was lot 5217 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €300 (about US$393 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[2] noted,

"NIEDERLANDE, GRONINGEN, Stadt. Einseitige Vierteltalerklippe zu 12 1/2 Stübern 1672, geprägt während der Belagerung durch kölnische und münstersche Truppen unter dem Befehl des münsterschen Bischofs Christoph Bernhard von Galen. Gekröntes, vierfeldiges Wappen, zu den Seiten geteilte. Wertangabe 12 1/2 - ST. Sehr schön +. Aus der Sammlung Eberhard Link. Exemplar der Auktion Dr. Busso Peus Nachf. 269, Frankfurt/Main 1968, Nr. 2734. (Netherlands, city of Groningen, uniface klippe quarter thaler of 12½ stuber of 1672, struck while besieged by soldiers of Cologne and Munster during the Bishop's War. Obverse: crowned, quartered arms divide the value. Very fine or better.)"
