This specimen was lot 73453 in Stack's Bowers May 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $1,403. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Sovereign, 2010. Llantrisant Mint. Elizabeth II. PCGS PROOF-70 Ultra Cameo." This type was struck 2009-15 for sale to collectors and did not circulate altho some show signs of mishandling. It varies from the issue of 1998-2008 (KM 1002) by lacking the horsehair tail on the helmet of St. George.

Recorded mintage: 243,986 plus 8,828 proofs.

Specification: 7.98 g, 0.916 fine gold, 22.05 mm diameter, reeded edge, 0.2355 troy oz AGW.
