This specimen was lot 56812 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2024), where it sold for $100. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 1/2 Penny, 1893. London Mint. Victoria. PCGS MS-65 Red Brown." This type was struck 1874-94. It has a slightly modified obverse from the "bun head" half penny introduced in 1860. This is noted as a common date.

Recorded mintage: 7,229,000.
