Stephen Album sale 50, lot 3151

This specimen was lot 3151 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $156. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN: Victoria, 1837-1901, AE halfpenny, 1895, fantastic full red coloration, NGC graded MS65 RD. Tied for finest graded at NGC." This type, the last half penny issued for Victoria, was minted 1895-1901. All dates are common.

Recorded mintage: 3,032,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 5.7 g, bronze, 25.5 mm diameter.
