This specimen was lot 37177 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Maundy 2 Pence, 1895. London Mint. Victoria. PCGS MS-64." This bust of the queen was used from 1893 until her death in 1901. The type is common, having been saved in the Maundy sets. The silver halfgroat was last struck for circulation in the reign of George III.

Recorded mintage: 11,000.

Specification: 0.94 g, 0.925 fine silver, 13 mm diameter, plain edge.
