This specimen was lot 70808 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $70. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Farthing, 1881-H. Heaton Mint. Victoria. NGC MS-64 Red. A delightful copper Farthing of 1881. Graded MS 64 Red by PCGS. A Heaton mint offering with exceptional mint brilliance. "Bun Head" design and fully red." The bronze farthing was struck in moderate numbers 1860-73 with a toothed border and 1874-95 with minor changes to Britannia.
