This specimen was lot 1453 in Stephen Album sale 27 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2017), where it sold for $129.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN: Victoria, 1837-1901, AR 6 pence, 1878. Die number 17, NGC graded MS64." This sixpence, roughly equal to a dime, was struck 1838-87 and is common in all grades. A rare 1878/7 overdate exists. This date comes with and without die numbers.
