This specimen was lot 4307 in Goldberg sale 84 (Los Angeles, January 2015), where it sold for $446.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Sixpence, 1877. Victoria. Young head. No Die number. Bright with a light golden tinge of toning. A very attractive mint state mid-Victorian coin. NGC graded MS-65." This sixpence, roughly equal to a dime, was struck 1838-87 and is common in all grades. This date comes with and without die numbers.
