This specimen was lot 2705 in Stephen Album sale 45 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2023), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN: Victoria, 1837-1901, AR shilling, 1868, die 17, an attractive lustrous example, PCGS graded MS62, ex Joe Sedillot Collection." This shilling was struck 1838-87 for circulation. This subtype, with die numbers, was issued 1867-79.

Recorded mintage: 3,330,000.

Specification: 5.65 g, 0.925 fine silver, .168 troy oz ASW, 23.5 mm diameter.
