This specimen was lot 75552 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Maundy Penny, 1706. London Mint. Anne. NGC MS-62. From the Richard August Collection." The silver penny was struck for queen Anne 1703-13 in sufficient numbers that it is fairly common today. It is still struck in silver for the Maundy sets but was superseded for circulation by the copper penny in 1797.

Specification: 0.50 g, 0.925 fine silver, 12 mm diameter, plain edge.
