This specimen was lot 33764 in Heritage sale 3098 (New York, January 2022), where it sold for $2,040. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Great Britain: Charles I Crown ND (1635-1636) VF30 NGC, Tower mint (under Charles I), Crown mintmark. Exceedingly fine for the type boasting moderately handled devices punctuated by pearl-gray highpoints and a slightly glossy surface, and currently resides as the only example certified by NGC to date. Thus, the desirability of this offering can only be considered undeniable, and its use as the plate coin in the John Brooker Collection reference truly fitting. Ex. Michael S. Tallent Collection (Stack's April 2008, Lot 73); F.R. Cooper Collection; John Brooker Collection." The silver crowns of Charles I come in many varieties, all rare. This one has the garnished oval arms of Britain with a plume above the arms but no monogram. England and France are in quadrants 1 and 4, Scotland is in quadrant 2 and Ireland in quadrant 3.
