The first specimen was lot 20164 in Ponterio sale 176 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $3,290. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Charles I, 1625-1649. Unite, ND (1629-30). Heart. Group B, second bust. King left in round arch crown, ruff, armor and mantle; ‘XX’ behind. Rv. Crowned square topped arms. Evenly worn and deeply toned, with slightly deeper color in the recesses of the perimeter. Quite handsome overall. Fine Plus. Ex: William Youngerman, 1983." The second specimen was lot 31603 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), where it sold for $1,920. The catalog description[2] noted, "Great Britain: Charles I (1625-1649) gold Unite ND (1629-1630) XF Details (Mount Removed) NGC, Tower mint, Heart mm, Cleaned, with a wavy flan and scratches to the reverse; yet clearly a coin which was produced to an above-average standard, bright and sunny in appearance with much sharpness to the designs." The third specimen was lot 40453 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $2,880. The catalog description[3] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Unite, ND (1629-30). London Mint; mm: Lis. Charles I. PCGS Genuine--Repaired, AU Details Gold Shield. A still-lustrous example, very lightly circulated in the past with bright surfaces and a small repair noted by PCGS upon the obverse. From the Sundial Valley Farms Collection." This gold unite (originally twenty shillings but raised to 22 shillings in 1612) was accompanied by a gold angel (Fr-245), crown (Fr-248) and double crown (Fr-247). Charles' conflicts with Parliament and his subsequent inability to raise funds cramped the production of gold.

Specification: 9 g, 0.917 fine gold, the first specimen 138.3 grains.
