This specimen was lot 1118 in Sincona sale 79 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 1,700 CHF (about US$2,038 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN | Königreich, Charles I. 1625-1649. Gold crown of 5 shillings n. d. (1629-1630), Tower Mint under the King. Group B. Second bust, bust 3. Mintmark heart. NGC AU53." Charles abandoned the laurel coinage of the latter part of James's reign and reverted to the old gold crown (five shillings), double crown (10 shillings) and unite (20 shillings).
