Glarus 1811 schilling
This specimen was lot 5307 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 275 CHF (about US$415 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. Glarus. Schilling 1811, Glarus. Variante: Wappen Girlanden mit je sieben hängenden Blümchen. Gutes vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Glarus, schilling of 1811, Glarus mint, variety with seven hanging blooms on the garland. About Uncirculated.)"
Glarus joined the Swiss Confederation in 1352 but did not strike coinage until after the collapse of the Helvetic Republic. This somewhat scarce type is known for 1808-13. One schilling was three rappen; one hundred rappen made a frank.
