The first specimen was lot 4199 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 500 CHF (about US$754 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Glarus, 15 Schillinge 1811, Glarus. Schräg gerippter Rand. Selten. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Doppelprägung des Revers. Leicht gereinigt. (Switzerland, canton of Glarus, fifteen schilling of 1811, Glarus mint, obliquely reeded edge. Rare, Very Fine-Extremely Fine, Reverse double struck. Lightly cleaned.)"

The second specimen was lot 5306 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 475 CHF (about US$716 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[2] noted,

"SCHWEIZ. Glarus. 15 Schillinge 1811, Glarus. Schräg gerippter Rand. Selten. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Glarus, fifteen schilling of 1811, Glarus mint, obliquely reeded edge. Rare, Good Very Fine.)"

Glarus joined the Swiss Confederation in 1352 but did not strike coinage until after the collapse of the Helvetic Republic. This rare type is known for 1806-07, 1811-14. A tiny "B" mintmark can be spied on the knot of the wreath on the reverse. Fifteen schilling was forty five rappen; one hundred rappen made a frank.

Recorded mintage: 7,067 for all dates.

Specification: 4 g, silver, 26.5 mm diameter, obliquely reeded edge. The first specimen 3.67 g, the second specimen 3.84 g.
