Glarus 1806-F schilling
This specimen was lot 4276 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 275 CHF (about US$334 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND | Glarus, Schilling 1806, Glarus. Rückseite mit Münzzeichen F (Freuler). Selten. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Glarus, one schilling of 1806, with mintmaster's initial "F". Rare, Good very fine.)"
This type was struck 1806-07 and is scarce; the variety shown here with the initial "F" is rare. The last issue from this canton was a shooting festival forty batzen issued in 1847. One schilling was three rappen; one hundred rappen made a frank.
