Steve Album Auction 53, lot 3050

This specimen was lot 3050 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $510. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY: Third Reich, AR 2 reichsmark, 1934-A, Potsdam Garrison Church, a wonderful reflective proof example! PCGS graded Proof 64 CAM, ex Joe Sedillot Collection. The Garrison Church was a Protestant church in the historic center of Potsdam. Built by order of King Frederich Wilhelm I of Prussia according to plans by Philipp Gerlach from 1730 to 1735, it was considered as a major work of Prussian Baroque architecture." This type was struck 1934 only along with a five mark (KM 82).

Recorded mintage: 2,710,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 8 g, 0.625 fine silver, .160 troy oz ASW, 25 mm diameter.
