This specimen was lot 1321 in Sincona Auction 103 (Zürich, May 2026), where it sold for 5,000 CHF (about US$7,620 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, Ecu pistolet 1582, Genf. Sehr selten. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Geneva, écu pistolet of 1582, Geneva mint. Very rare, Very Fine-Extremely Fine.)"
Friedberg lists this obscure type for 1562-86 and notes that the last écu pistolet was struck in 1642. This date comes with eight (shown here) or nine rays emanating from the sun.
