Furstenberg 1804-W 6 kreuzer
This specimen was lot 1030 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 140 CHF (about US$185 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Fürstenberg, Fürstentum, Karl Joachim, 1796-1804. 6 Kreuzer 1804, Stuttgart. Vorzüglich. (Germany, principality of Fürstenberg, Charles Joachim, 1796-1804, six kreuzer of 1804, Stuttgart mint. Extremely fine.)"
The principality was mediatized by Napoleon in 1804 and handed over to Baden. Just before the abolition of the state, the prince issued a one, three, six, ten and twenty kreuzer and a thaler. Six kreuzer was one twentieth of a convention thaler.
