Sincona Auction 105, lot 3231

This specimen was lot 3231 in Sincona Auction 105 (Zürich, May 2026), where it sold for 325 CHF (about US$495 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Freiburg/Fribourg. Stadt und Kanton, 2/3 Haller 1745, Freiburg. Einseitig. Ankerkreuz mit vier kleinen Kreuzchen im Feld, unten die vollständige Jahreszahl. Sehr selten. Sehr schön. Flaue Stellen. Exemplar der Auktion SINCONA 98, Zürich, Mai 2025, Los 4194. Exemplar der Slg. Kunzmann, Auktion SINCONA 44, Zürich, Oktober 2017, Los 5227. (Switzerland, canton of Fribourg, uniface two-thirds haller of 1745, Fribourg mint. Obverse: anchor cross cantonned with four crosslets, date below. Very rare, Very Fine, Some weakly struck areas.)"

The SCWC and Numista call this coin a "denier" and mention only 1735, 1745, 1751, 1752 and 1763 altho other dates exist. One thaler was 224 of these coins.

Specification: 0.19 g, copper, 13 mm diameter, this specimen 0.43 g.
