This specimen was lot 4176 in Sincona sale 73 (Zürich, November 2021), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND | Freiburg/Fribourg | Stadt und Kanton. Vierer 1713, Fribourg. Dreiteilige Burg in Perlkreis. Rv. Gabelkreuz mit kleinen Kreuzchen in den Feldern. Sehr selten. Schön-sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Fribourg, vierer of 1713, Fribourg mint. Obverse: three towered castle in pearl circle; reverse: cross cantonned with four crosslets. Very rare, Fine-very fine.)"
One vierer was half a kreuzer. This type was struck 1713, 1715 and 1737 with this being the rarest date. Other types exist for this denomination. What little Fribourg coinage exists is largely small change in copper and billon.
