This specimen was lot 32865 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $576. The catalog description[1] noted, "Frankfurt. Free City gold 3/4 Coronation Ducat 1745 MS62 NGC. Struck upon the coronation of Emperor Franz I. Sword, scepter, and orb upon pedestal on obverse, reverse has eight line inscription." This type was accompanied by two different ducats (KM 203 and 204) and a 1¼ ducat (KM 205). Eighteenth century coinage from this German town is surprisingly scanty, given its status as a free city.

Specification: 3.5 g, 0.986 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW; this specimen is 3.47 g.
