Frankfurt 1792 3/4 ducat Fr-1024
This specimen was lot 1901 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €1,200 (about US$1,670 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"FRANKFURT, STADT, 3/4 Dukat 1792, auf die Krönung von Franz II. zum römischen Kaiser. GOLD. Min. gewellt, fast vorzüglich. (Germany, city of Frankfurt, three quarter ducat of 1792, on the coronation of Francis II as Holy Roman Emperor. Slightly wavy, about extremely fine.)"
This was the last issue of this denomination from this city. Similar coronation ¾ ducats were issued in 1711 (Charles VI), 1745 (Francis I), 1764 (Joseph II) and 1790 (Leopold II).
