Stephen Album sale 50, lot 3033

This specimen was lot 3033 in Stephen Album sale 50 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRANCE: Louis Philippe I, 1830-1848, AR medallic 5 francs, 1831, Visit of King Louis Philippe I to Rouen Mint, some contact marks, small reverse scratches, toned, VF-XF, RR." This design was also used to strike a few in gold (KM M20c), likely for presentation to the king and his entourage.
