This tiny coin was struck at Strasbourg under the régime of king Charles X of France (1824-30). It is a better date of a type struck 1825-30. All quarter francs of this reign are of this type, which is common. It was demonetized in 1852. The catalog[1] notes 42 dates for the type, some very rare. This date is rare, priced at six times the common date (1828A or 1830A).

Recorded mintage: 13,060[1]; unlisted in KM.

Specification: 1.25 g, 0.900 fine silver, 15 mm diameter, plain edge.
