This specimen was lot 99105 in Heritage sale 61259 (Dallas, TX, February 2022), where it sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "France: Louis XV Ecu 1738-A F15 NGC, Paris mint. Ecu aux brances d'olivier. Slightly metallic appearances abound this well-handled survivor." This coin is an écu aux branches d'olivier from the Paris mint, struck for Louis XV. Most Paris mint issues are common.

Recorded mintage: 253,264[2], a common date.

Specification: 29.45 g, 0.917 fine silver, 39 mm diameter, lettered edge.
