This coin, called a twelfth écu de France, was part of the John Law issues of 1719-23. It was worth 15 sols and was struck 1720-23 only. Most were was struck over the ten sols of 1719. This specimen was part of lot 29059 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), which sold for $960. The catalog description[2] noted, "Quartet of Louis XV Minor Silver Coins, ...3) 1/12 Écu de France 1721-T VF Plus, Troyes mint, ...From the Doug Robins Collection of Canadian Tokens."

Recorded mintage: unknown, all rf, scarce[1].

Specification: 2.04 g, 0.917 fine silver, 20 mm diameter, reeded edge, designed by Norbert Roëttiers.
