This specimen was lot 24044 in Heritage sale 61496 (Dallas, TX, April 2025), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "France: Louis XV 1/2 Ecu 1721-E XF Details (Obverse Spot Removed) NGC, Tours mint. Flan Reforme, trefoil below bust. An elusive issue that does not come to market very often, this example being only the second of its type to be graded across both major grading companies." This type is rare so there is little difference between rare and common mints. Nearly all are struck on flans reformées.

Recorded mintage: unknown but all rf.

Specification: 12.23 g, 0.917 fine, 33 mm diameter, edge lettered DOMINE SALVUM FAC REGEM, designed by Norbert Roëttiers.
