Sincona sale 89, lot 533

This specimen was lot 533 in Sincona sale 89 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 475 CHF (about US$628 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BELGIEN Flandern, Grafschaft, Philipp le Hardi, 1384-1404. Double gros o. J. (1387), Gent. Vorzüglich. Überdurchschnittliche Erhaltung. Exemplar der Auktion Crédit de la Bourse, Paris, April 1993, Los 856. (Belgium, county of Flanders, Philip the Bold, 1384-1404, undated double groat, circa 1387, Ghent mint. Extremely fine, Extraordinary condition.)"
