This specimen was lot 11313 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €65 (about US$68). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Öre, 1666. Reval Mint. Karl XI. NGC VF-30. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." The Swedes conquered Estonia from the Livonian Knights early in the sixteenth century. Peter the Great greatly desired possession of Estonia and occupied it in 1710; the Swedes formally ceded it to him in 1721. It remained Russian until after World War One. This type was struck 1663-67 and is called a "rundstück" (round piece) by Numista. Many varieties exist in the legends.
