Estonia 1667 ore
This specimen was lot 2452 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "ESTONIA (SWEDISH): Karl XI, 1660-1697, AR öre (rundstück), Reval, 1667, natural planchet defect, a bright lustrous example, legend MONE NOV variety, AU." This type was struck 1664-67. Eight öre made a mark. This is listed in Numista as a "rundstück" (round piece), which is probably the German name for the coin. An undated version with the royal monogram instead of a lion (KM 27) also exists, along with two öre (KM 12) and four öre (KM 25). The Swedes seized Estonia in 1561 and held it until 1721, when they ceded it to Peter the Great of Russia.
