This specimen was lot 30872 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $2,115. The catalog description[1] noted, "Edward VI Shilling 1550 AU50 NGC, Tower mint, Second period, Swan mm, An attractive example of this issue, weak in places but with an excellent portrait and stunning patina. A small edge chip is not[ed] at 11 o'clock." The date is expressed as "M:D:L." on the reverse.
