Egypt AH 1277(10) 40 para KM-249
The coin shown is a 40 para, composition copper, from the reign of Sultan Abdul Aziz. The obverse bears the toughra, or signature, of the sultan, with the denomination written below (abbreviated as the letter P for para) with the number 20. A flower to the right of the toughra indicates that it is from the Cairo mint. The reverse carries the ascension date and the text minted in Misr (Misr is Arabic for Egypt). The date is written as AH 1277 year 10, which translates to about 1869 AD. Uslu[1] lists this issue as extremely rare.
