This specimen was lot 20384 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Anaheim, CA, August 2016), where it sold for $1,997.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT. 5 Pounds, AH 1405 (1985). NGC MS-65. SCARCE. Reported mintage of 200 and the only piece seen at NGC. Struck for the 25th Anniversary of Cairo Stadium, legends in English and Arabic; Reverse: Olympic rings and dual dates. An untoned brilliant gem." This Non-Circulating Legal Tender issue honored the 25th anniversary of Cairo Stadium.
