This specimen was issued by Egypt as part of the F.A.O. series. Egypt issued an entire series of F.A.O. coins, ranging from five milliemes to one pound. The obverse features a female student researching agronomy. This type was accompanied by a similar five piastres and one pound coin. The ten milliemes denomination was last issued in 1980.
Recorded mintage: 2,000,000.
