This specimen was issued by Egypt as part of the F.A.O. series. Egypt issued an entire series of F.A.O. coins, ranging from five milliemes to one pound. The obverse features an animal sacrifice inspired by ancient Egyptian carvings. The five milliemes was not issued after 1979, inflation having destroyed its value.
Recorded mintage: 2,500,000.
