This specimen was lot 45983 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT. Pound, AH 1396/1976. Cairo Mint. NGC MS-68. F.A.O. issue." This specimen was issued as part of the F.A.O. series. Egypt issued an entire series of F.A.O. coins, ranging from five milliemes to one pound. On the obverse, the god Osiris presides over the wheat harvest. A similar design appeared on a ten miliemes.

Recorded mintage: 50,000.

Specification: 15 g, 0.720 fine silver, 35 mm diameter.
