This specimen was lot 1906 in Stephen Album sale 37 (Santa Rosa, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $446.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT: AV pound, 1976/AH1396, bust of Faisal bin Abdulaziz, who was king of Saudi Arabia from 1964 until he was assassinated on 25 March 1975, Brilliant Unc, ex Gamal Amer Collection." This NCLT was accompanied by KM 457 (silver pound) and KM 459 (gold 5 pounds).
Recorded mintage: 8,000 proofs.
Specification: 8 g, 0.875 fine gold.
