This specimen was lot 70639 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2022), where it sold for $1,920. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT. 5 Pounds, AH 1396/1976. PCGS MS-65. Struck to commemorate King Faisal of Saudi Arabia. This wholly original looking example boasts a strong strike with an attractive pale golden coloration adding to its pleasing appearance." This design also appeared on a silver one pound (KM 457) and a gold one pound (Fr-131). This denomination was later converted to silver.
Recorded mintage: 2,500.
