This specimen was lot 73145 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2025), where it sold for $4,320. The catalog description[1] noted, "MEXICO. Durango. Lead Centavo, 1914. NGC MS-63. Roman 1 in date. An appealing example that stands as the sole finest representative of the type yet encountered, with an appeal and allure that outstrips most types in lead. The details remain full, with none of the common problems of oxidation or excess handling." This denomination was struck in copper (most common), brass, lead and even copper-nickel. It is likely the local revolutionaries struck coins from whatever metal they could get their hands on.

Specification: lead.
