The specimen shown is a one year type struck for the Dominican Republic along with 5, 10 and 50 centesimos (KM 8, 9, 10) and a silver one franco (KM 11). It was lot 50923 in Heritage sale 441. Coinage for the Dominican Republic was sporadic during the nineteenth century, reflecting the political and fiscal chaos obtaining there. The dies bear the Paris mintmark ("A") and French privy marks but it is believed the coins were actually struck in Philadelphia.
