This specimen was lot 33851 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $528. The catalog description[1] noted, "Denmark: Christian IX Proof 25 Ore 1904-VBP PR67 NGC. A stunning example with lightly toned reflective surfaces and a subtle cameo effect. The peripheries are a soft honey color, adding the perfect touch to a near perfect specimen. From the Feeling Good Collection." Danish currency endured several "reforms" in the nineteenth century. In 1874, the coinage was reformed again to the current system of 100 øre = one krone. This type was struck 1894, 1900 and 1904-05.
