This specimen was lot 392 in Stack's Coin Galleries sale (New York, October 2010), where it sold for $143.75. The catalog description[1] noted,

"DENMARK. Christian IX, 1863-1906. 10 øre, 1903. Obv. Bare head r. Rev. Wheat and dolphin flank '10.' Subtle frosting accents the needle-sharp impression of the dies. Proofs are known of the decimal coinage of this historic reign but they only dreamt of by most numismatists thanks to their remarkable rarity. Gem Brilliant Proof."

This type was struck 1894-1905 and the business strikes are common. This coin was struck to the same standard as the Swedish 10 öre.

Recorded mintage: 3,007,000.

Specification: 1.45 g, 0.400 fine silver, .018 troy oz ASW.
