This specimen was lot 34585 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $35. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 10 Ore, 1899-VBP. PCGS MS-66. Old green holder." This gem specimen sold for half of catalog value, reflecting the near total disinterest in modern Danish coinage. This type was struck 1894-1905 and the business strikes are common. This coin was struck to the same standard as the Swedish 10 öre.
